The player is driving down a virtual street and challenges another driver to a race for a money prize, if the other driver agrees (as they do) then the winner gets the virtual cash and can upgrade to a better, faster car. Quite a lot of the racing games that are available online are 3 D games. Tests that have been undertaken on people who play virtual racing games show that indulging in this armchair sport increases adrenaline and gets the blood racing. Although people complain that sitting behind a computer playing car racing games is not good for children, the fact of the matter is that it actually increases mental capacity because the games involve players in making tough, split second decisions.

It may sound funny to critics but playing online car racing games can actually make players more motivated as they set goals to beat their opponents. Achieving goals in the virtual world is often translated into better motivation to get things done in the real world.
