An open edition is term used for any http://www.artyprints.com art prints that are printed under license onto a variety of mediums – paper, canvas, Perspex etc. The print run is not limited. An Open edition series cannot become a limited edition and Open Editions cannot become Limited Editions.

Limited Editions

A limited edition is an exclusive print run, approved and signed by the artist, printed to the highest standards. Limited editions offer art collectors the advantage of buying works of art at affordable prices yet they are also collectable.
