World of computers is a very complex one. There are many intricacies involved in it. And if a single person makes an attempt at understanding all of those subtle intricacies then it is but natural that his or her mind will be completely boggled. Now it has always been endeavor of engineers and other professionals related with computers to make computers and its applications easier to understand for common and normal laymen. And out of many attempts that have been made in this field application packaging is one of more successful ones. Before going on to discuss any further about application packaging we will first need to discuss in details about certain other aspects of computers.

To begin with if one wants to gain a comprehensive and holistic knowledge of computers then it becomes imperative for that person to have good knowledge regarding computer softwares as well. We all know that computers are of immense importance to us because they can perform multifarious tasks related to varied fields. Now a certain amount of artificial intelligence is required to enable computers to understand instructions of humans and then do whatever is required of them. This artificial intelligence in computers, which is an essential requirement, is provided by softwares that are installed within that computer. Now as a computer has to perform many different tasks, it is quite natural that single software will not be able to perform all of them. That means that more than one software is required to make computers function normally. Also, if a computer is put to some specific use, for example accounting, then that computer some particular softwares pertaining to its line of work. Now one problem in installing so many softwares in a single computer is that they might not compliment each other. This would mean that installation and running of one particular software or application might provide some opposition or hindrance to execution of some other software or application. This creates a huge problem on certain occasions. As all softwares are essential for smooth functioning of computer, even if one of them fails to function properly, then this inability will get manifested in a bigger form in end product which is computers. And it is in order to prevent above mentioned flaws and glitches that application packaging has become huge popularly.

Company engineers toil hard to come up with a group of softwares, in which software is essential for proper working of computer and more importantly, in which all installed softwares, coming from that particular package are complimentary to each other. And in order to accomplish this engineers have to first understand what uses that computer is going to be used. After having understood that, it is also job of engineers to modify and adjust that package application according to local wants and needs.

It is by performing above mentioned task that application packages become an excellent source of saving some and money for end users of computers. And not only that, they increase functions of computers as well. And that is why they are so popular and in demand nowadays.
