Wipro bags Rs 132-cr Lodha contract

Lodha Group, a Mumbai-based real estate player, has awarded a 10-year, Rs 132 crore IT transformation contract to Wipro Infotech, the India and Middle East IT business of Wipro Ltd.

The Lodha Group, which has a land bank of over 6000 acres, said it is currently developing multiple projects in and around Mumbai and fast establishing its footprint in other southern and western markets, a Wipro press release said.

With its focus on development of offices, campuses, SEZ’s and townships, the Group has embarked on an aggressive growth path.

The company intends to leverage IT to keep pace with the growth and emerge as a highly customer centric organisation, the release said.

“To realise this vision, Wipro will bring in world class efficiency and best practices to Lodha’s IT functions'’, it said.

“The services will ensure flexibility to respond faster to business scenario changes making it a true business enabler for the Group'’, the release added.
