Researchers found that apple shaped people are more prone to heart disease because of abdominal fat. Abdominal fat releases leptin and cytokine which affect your health. People with high C-reactive protein in the blood are linked with a higher than average risk of heart disease. C-reactive protein levels are linked with overall body fat, especially the abdominal fat stored around your waist.
Why those ab workouts won't help you?
Stomach fat is stored energy. Crunches, sit-ups and other various abdomen exercises are virtually useless for most people when it comes to losing stomach fat. For firm and flat stomach, you need to burn more calories than you eat. This is only possible with proper diet and whole body exercises.

Several independent researches prove that combination of healthy diet, weight-training and aerobic exercise is sure shot for maximum fat loss. The combined exercise program involving weight training (3 days) and aerobic exercises (3 days a week) provides best result.
1. You should plan to build muscle. The fat burns off automatically due to increase metabolism.

4. You should eat balanced diet. You should take meals 6 times a day and never take large portion of meal. This improves your metabolism. Low carb, low fat diet or starvation does not work.
