<h2>Renting a Holiday Villa in Austria</h2> <p> The country of Austria is found in central Europe and is boarded by several other countries including Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Italy and Switzerland. The capital is the beautiful city of Vienna which is located on the Danube River.<br /><br />The cities of Vienna and Salzburg are beautiful with amazing architecture, but there is so much more that this country is able to offer to its visitors. The mountains, lakes and rivers provide you with the chance to try various different outdoor activities that you may not have considered doing before from mountain climbing, to skiing, to kayaking.<br /><br />The best time of year for visiting Austria will depend on the kind of activities that you would like to be doing whilst there. For those who enjoy hiking and mountain biking then going in the summer is best. Whilst for those who want to have a go at skiing or snowboarding of course the winter months are the ideal time to plan a break to this country.<br /><br />Generally the warmest weather occurs during the months of April and October, but be prepared and take some warm clothing as occasionally April and October can be slightly colder than the rest. However, if you are someone who has problems with heat avoid the months of July and August as this is when the temperatures can become unbearable. Plus the costs of accommodation etc. generally go up during this month's as it is the height of the summer season in Austria.<br /><br />Also another reason for avoiding the months of July and August is because of the high temperatures many of the major attractions will be closed at this time. So if you intend to visit the Spanish Riding School or go to the Opera then choose another time rather than these.<br /><br />Although these attractions may be closed there are plenty of other events which take place in Austria throughout the year. Certainly when it comes to music festivals this country is world renowned for the ones that it has. The first ones begin at the beginning of the year and New Year in Vienna is wonderful with its concerts and lavish balls. Then each month you are likely to find something happening, in February the Shrovetide Carnival takes place which is a celebration of spring returning.<br /><br />Then on the second Thursday after Whitsun more carnivals take place to celebrate Corpus Christi some of which are held on lakes. One such one is the one that is held at Salzkammergut. But really the highlight of the music festivals each year in Austria is the Wiener Festwochen which takes place from May until the middle of June.<br /><br />If you do decide to go on holiday to Austria as you will soon discover this beautifully landlocked country has so much more to offer its visitors than just skiing and mountain climbing.
