Air Purifiers Explained
For an individual suffering from allergies and/or asthma there is no machine more beneficial than an air purifier. Functions of air purifiers, however, vary as to settings and manufacturers. In order to get the best performance from air purifiers various processes are important in choosing one that will be most effective. Air purifiers differ in processing procedures for removing impurities from the air which is most important in maintaining clean and healthy surroundings.
The filtering function of the purifier catches impurities in the air. The trapped air is then filtered and the clean, particle-free air is released. Some purifiers can be less effective for use in larger areas depending on the technology used in their construction. These air purifiers can, however, be useful for smaller areas or any defined space for more effective cleaning and purifying of the air.
The charged electrical plates produce ions that are electrically charged. These ions catch the impurities in the air, attach themselves to the air particles trapping them, and then release pure air. An air purifier can effectively eliminate indoor impurities that contain many airborne diseases. Eliminating the pollen, mold spores, bacteria, pet dander, dust mite allergens and poisonous fumes from the indoor environment not only benefit people who suffer with allergies and asthma, but also other family members as well. Installing an air purifier in every household is a vital strategy for all health conscious people. Air purifiers are particularly good for children, elderly people, pregnant women and babies who benefit most from good air quality.
Some air purifiers are operated by fans in order to provide a greater degree of purification. Household purifiers, as a rule, however, do not employ fans. They are quiet machines that do not disturb a quiet indoor environment. Purifiers are economical, consuming less energy than a 50 watt light bulb.
There are no negative side effects to air purifiers. No poisonous chemicals or harmful particles are emitted from the machines. Also, they create no humidity or temperature change.
Air purifiers come in metallic or ceramic designs and do not require much space for installation. You can fit them in small spaces like bedrooms and kitchens.
Air purifiers require practically no maintenance. Dusting at the time of routine house cleaning is all that is needed. Heat given off by the purification process eliminates viruses, bacteria, mold spores, etc thus providing a pure, healthy environment.
A special series of air purifiers is available for people who are more allergy prone and for people suffering from breathing problems. These purifiers are widely used in hospitals and in nursing homes.
