<h2>Parenting Tips</h2> <p> You've probably heard it this a hundred times and I bet everyone agree that bringing up children is one of the most hard job there is and no one in this world is totally armed on how to be a good parent. It seems like there is never enough time to prepare you to raise children. As certain as it is, your life do change from the day your child is born. Some of you may have read parenting skills book but trust me on this, parenting is not as easy as memorizing the words in a book. You learn as you go.<br /><br />On the plus side, you will know that this is also the best and greatest job in the world even though it can really get onto your nerves at times. This piece of work will tell you more about parenting and make you more prepared for it and also for any situation that may arise.<br /><br />Several experts have drawn out a distinct outline how it is in a child's development for parents. Parents should set limitations, be consistent and also give positive remarks to your child. Parents are also advised to give the child space to discover their talents, self worth, esteem and improvement. So those are the guideline but how often does this come into play when we start parenting. This article will show you how.<br /><br />With all in the daily life, it is easy to get distracted with everyday stress and unfortunately some parents, if not all at times, tend to bring those frustrations and stresses out in the way they interact and communicate with their children. This is unacceptable because as a parent we need to control our own emotions and not to let our emotions affect the children.<br /><br />Many of us will pick up our parenting skills from our parents. We watch and have our own opinions of on our own parents manifestation themselves when we one day become one ourselves. However this can be of a bad influence if we are brought up in a not so good environment.<br /><br />Parents who had a rough childhood can be trapped in a vicious cycle if they do not recognize the pattern and learn basic skills to correct the situation. Patterns of abuse and neglect can be stopped if parents have had the foresight to see the pattern and that the necessary step to stop the cycle.<br /><br />The two points that are worth highlighting would be punishment vs. discipline. You must always keep this in mind. While punishing your child may result improved behaviour, it may also breed fear, anger and withdrawal. Punishment is really about controlling a child rather than teaching them right from wrong. Discipline is about showing a child that they must expect consequences for their actions and that they are responsible for making the right choices in life.<br /><br />I can't stress this more than enough but parents should not be allowed to set great expectations that will burden the child's mentality or even create fear. All children have curious mind. It's their nature, let it grow and discover the world themselves. They should never be discouraged.
