These Navy swords were designed around 1841 and changed in the design during the Civil War in 1860. From that point on, their design has remained largely the same as has their mottos and practices.

The reputation of the mighty USMC (United States Marine Corps) precedes them with their USMS sword and the rich history that comes with it. Created for the representation as being the final defense, the USMS sword gives us a taste of what power and might is and how it keeps the soldiers ready for battle. Appearances rate this US Military sword as one of the most enrapturing pieces of solid workmanship for the armed forces. The Army saber is one that has changed the varying looks quite often over the course of our nation's growth. From simple and elegant to bold and strong, the Army swords have given us glimpses of the trends that were prevalent during the wars fought back then. Closely following the ups and downs of the Army, their sword dictates these changes, ever so carefully, in the designs that varied almost from generation to generation. As a trait of the Army, being a chameleon, seeking to adapt and suit almost any surrounding to best be at an advantage to defend our country, the changes seen in the Army swords only serve to further prove their ability to change and adapt quickly to that change.
